Pat Lam makes five changes to Connacht team to face Toulouse

Connacht have made five changes to their side which will face Toulouse in the final pool game of the Champions Cup this Sunday.

Out-half Jack Carty makes his return to the starting line-up following his recovery from injury. Meanwhile, Peter Robb and Craig Ronadlson will pair up in the centre.

Up front, Ireland international Quinn Roux, who missed last week's bonus-point victory over Zebre, comes back in. The back row will also receive a boost, with the return of flankers Nepia Fox-Matamua and Jake Heenan.

Speaking about the upcoming tie, Lam said:

"We are aware of the phenomenal challenge that awaits us in Toulouse on Sunday but these are the sort of games that you want to be a part of.  It’s an opportunity as a player and as a team to put in a performance on the big stage."

"While the right outcome would be massive for Irish Rugby, the focus remains on executing our game plan in a pressure environment to get us the win we need."

A win this weekend would cap off an exciting week for the club, in which their captain John Muldoon signed a one-year contract extension that will see him remain at the province for a 15th season.
