Saracens captain Owen Farrell could miss their Heineken Champions Cup quarter-final against Leinster after being sent off for a horror tackle this afternoon.
The England and Lions back was given his marching orders for a dangerous hit on Wasps' Charlie Atkinson in their Gallagher Premiership clash at Allianz Park.
Farrell pleaded his innocence to the officials while acknowledging the tackle was high but was told, "‘you know what’s coming Owen".
Sarries are due to face Leinster at the Aviva on September 19th in what's a repeat of last year's European final.
Swinging arm red card for Owen Farrell today and inevitable ban coming his way. Big impact in @leinsterrugby v @Saracens @ChampionsCup 1/4 Final.
