Munster's Dan Goggin will be out for up to two months after having surgery on a hand injury.

The centre sustained the issue in the Reds' recent Guinness PRO14 win at Benetton and went under the knife last Thursday.

The Munster medical team estimate that he'll be out for seven or eight weeks. Goggin is set miss the Conference B leaders' trips to Edinburgh and Cardiff as well next month's home fixtures against Connacht, Scarlets and Benetton.

Prop Roman Salanoa will return to training with the squad this week after recovering from a back injury which flared up during the warm-up ahead of Munster's game in Treviso last month.

Gavin Coombes linked up with his provincial teammates at the University of Limerick today after being released from the Ireland camp while James Cronin is stepping up his recovery from a knee injury.

Calvin Nash (thigh), Rhys Marshall (knee), Keynan Knox (knee), Matt Gallagher (shoulder), RG Snyman (knee), Neil Cronin (knee), Joey Carbery (ankle) all remain out.
