Leinster's Cian Healy cited over incident in Connacht game

Leinster and Ireland prop Cian Healy has been cited by the Guinness Pro 12 over an incident in his team's fixture against Irish rivals Connacht on Saturday.

Leinster won the fixture away at the Sportsground 37-24 to stay top of the Pro 12 table.

But Healy faces a disciplinary hearing over "dangerous play at the ruck", with the hearing taking place on Wednesday evening in Edinburgh.

In a statement, the Pro 12 said: "Cian Healy (No 1) of Leinster Rugby has been reported by the Citing Commissioner in charge for alleged foul play against a Connacht player under Law 10.4 (h) – A player must not charge into a ruck; and Law 10.4 (k) – Dangerous play at the ruck.

"A Disciplinary Hearing will be held in Edinburgh on Wednesday, April 19 at 5pm. The Disciplinary Committee will comprise of Pamela Woodman (Chair), Kathrine Mackie and Roddy MacLeod (all Scotland)."

The range of punishments go from two weeks (lower end) to six weeks or 10 weeks for top end infringements.
