Ireland scrum-half Kieran Marmion will make his first appearance for Connacht in two months on Sunday.

He's recovered from a long-standing back-injury to return to the team for their final pool game away to Montpelier in the Heineken Champions Cup.

“We are delighted to see Kieran Marmion back from injury," head-coach Andy Friend told Connacht's official website.

"He has been out since November and has worked really hard to get back on the field. His experience alongside Jack Carty, will be a boost to us on Sunday”.

“We had a great win over Montpellier in the opening round but we are under no illusion that the return leg will be a huge challenge.

"We have picked a strong side and are aiming to win the game and regain some momentum ahead of an important block of games coming in the Pro14”.

Kyle Godwin joins Bundee Aki in the westerners' midfield, Tiernan O’Halloran's been selected at full-back with former Australian 7s international John Porch in on the wing.

Dave Heffernan, who was picked in Andy Farrell's squad for the Six Nations this week, is joined in the front-row by Paddy McAllister and Dominic Robertson McCoy in the front-row.

Neither team can qualify for the quarter-finals.
