It's a case of job done and move on for Jordan Larmour and Ireland following the workmanlike 35-0 defeat of Russia in Pool A of the Rugby World Cup in Kobe.

Ireland earned the bonus point, running in five tries through Rob Kearney, Peter O'Mahony, Rhys Ruddock, Andrew Conway and Garry Ringrose.

Jordan Larmour came on for Rob Kearney nine minutes into the second half.

Larmour spoke to our reporter Eoin Sheahan after the game and said that the closed roof and heat made it tricky at times:

"It was quite slippy and sweaty out there, but the big thing we can take from the game is that we got the result. We'll go through the game tomorrow, and review it, get the recovery done and all focus shifts towards Samoa. I think we need to hold onto the ball more. We forced the offload and dropped a few balls which gave them access and a platform to play off. Credit to the Russians, their defence was very strong at times. They did incredibly well to keep us out when we were on their line. They are a very committed team. Just tidying up the looseness at times and holding onto the ball is the priority."

Larmour added that he's loving his rugby right now:

"I am enjoying playing my rugby at the moment and just trying to learn as much as I can. Every week there's a new challenge. I am looking forward to being involved and putting my hand up for selection."

Next up is the final Pool match against Samoa on Saturday October 12th in Fukuoka at 11.45am Irish time. Any sort of victory will guarantee Ireland a place in the quarter finals.
