Leo Cullen has been given a massive injury boost for this weekend's final against Ulster as James Ryan is expected to be available for selection.

In a statement released by Leinster on Monday, it was announced that Ryan will be monitored throughout the week, but it is expected that he will be available to Cullen for the match on Saturday.

The 24-year-old lock suffered a serious shoulder injury that had him undergo surgery in early August, but returned to training last week and was part of the extended training squad ahead of the semi-final against Munster.

The statement also mentioned that Jordan Larmour, who received a head knock against Munster on Friday, will go through the standard graduated return to play protocols.

Tadhg Furlong, who is recovering from a back injury, and Dan Leavy, nursing a knee injury, will be reviewed later in the week regarding their involvement this weekend.

There were no further updates on Vakh Abdaladze (back), Dave Kearney (hamstring), Conor O’Brien (hamstring), and Adam Byrne (hamstring).

Leinster will take on Ulster in the Guinness PRO 14 final on Saturday, kickoff at 7:35 pm in an empty Aviva Stadium.
