Jonny Wilkinson may be retiring but that does not mean the Toulon juggernaut will suddenly grind to a halt?
Quite the opposite in fact. The French giants are primed to dominate the European game after securing a second consecutive Heineken Cup by beating Saracens in Saturday's final.
Tonight, soon-to-be Grenoble head coach Bernard Jackman joined us on the line and sees no reason why Toulon cannot sustain their success.
"There's a good chance because the business model that Toulon have in terms of recruiting these high profile, world class players and secure silverware, by all accounts they are going to run a profit this year. So it's an amazing feat what's been done because they've been able to bring in guys who look to be at the end of their careers, yet milk another two or three seasons out. While they pay big money for players they don't seem to make a lot of mistakes," said Bernard, who fancies Toulon to win the Top 14 title this weekend.
Bernard also echoed the president's comments that four more big-name players will be recruited and also spoke out about the correct culture being fostered in Toulon.
Bernard also discussed the prospects of Toulon hiring some of the huge All-Blacks names who could be lured to France.
