Players from the four Irish provinces make up almost the entire Guinness Pro14 team of the season.

Ulster lead the way with four selections, Connacht, Leinster and Munster have three players each included with Cardiff Blues and Glasgow Warriors the other representatives.

A pool of more than 75 media from across Ireland, UK, Italy and South Africa including reporters, broadcasters, former players and coaches were invited to vote in order to assemble the final 15.

John Cooney, who was top scorer in league is joined by team-mates Michael Lowry, Eric O'Sullivan and Marcell Coetzee as the UIster representatives.

Next-Gen Star of the Season, Scott Penny is one of the three Leinster players selected with Dave Kearney and Michael Bent also included.

Beaten finalists Munster have Billy Holland, Kevin O’Byrne and Damian De Allende in the side.

Connacht's Jack Carty is selected at 10, while Alex Wootton and Gavin Thornbury are also rewarded for fine seasons.
