Ireland suffer comprehensive defeat to Canada in Women's November series

The Ireland Women's team are still without a win in their November Series.

They lost 48-7 to Canada in ther second test at the UCD Bowl.

That comes a week after a narrow 12-10 defeat to Six Nations rivals England.

Nikki Caughey got the sole Irish try and conversion after half-time.

Canada ultimately ran in seven tries against an Irish side with 10 changes from the England game.

DaLeaka Menin, Julianne Zussman (2) and Karen Paquin, Emily Belchos, Laura Russell and Magali Harvey got the Canadian tries.

The Canadian side have plenty of pedigree, having finished runners-up in the 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup and reached the 3rd/4th place playoffs in 1998, 2002 and 2006 and will be among the sides vying for glory when Ireland host the tournament in August 2017.

Ireland face New Zealand on November 27th in UCD, before their Six Nations campaign kicks off next February.
