"He's running the show" - Simon Zebo impressed by Tyler Bleyendaal's form ahead of Leicester clash

Munster completed the most surprising of routs last weekend against Leicester running in three tries and racking up 38 unanswered points.

Simon Zebo and Jaco Taute touched down either side of the break, before a late penalty try made certain of another remarkable European result for the men in red.

The shut-out of one of English club rugby's top teams was a remarkable feat in itself and they had kicker Tyler Bleyendaal to thank for keeping the scoreboard ticking over throughout the evening.

Four penalties, three conversions and an excellent defensive performance helped maintain their 100% start in the Champions Cup and Simon Zebo admits that his form of has had a positive impact on group.

"He's running the show at the moment," he said. "He's a great communicator and he's easy to play off as well as run off. He's in a good vein of form and you know when he's playing well, the team is playing well. Let's hope that continues.

"He's got a lovely boot, I've taught him one or two things. He didn't learn it himself! He says it learnt it off Dan Carter but it was actually me."

The Pro12 side face a trip to Welford Road, almost exactly a year on from their 17-6 defeat in the pool stage of last year's competition.

"It's a tough place to go and we don't have very fond memories from last year. We know the challenge that awaits us, it's going to be a hell of a physical battle. We'll have to go up another level from what we did last week because there's going to be a bit of a backlash from those boys.

"They're very well coached and a very well-drilled side. One loss doesn't make you a bad team. We're aware of the quality that they do have and if they click, then they're going to be very dangerous."

Zebo pointed at their last victory in Europe as evidence that the team have turned a corner over the last 12 months.

"It was a very encouraging performance, more so than the result. The result was probably a bit flattering, but the performance we can take a bit of pride in. We're excited about the challenge ahead, there's a great atmosphere around the place."
