Iain Henderson will miss Ireland’s remaining two games in the Six Nations.

The Ulster forward has been banned for three-weeks as a result of the red card he received in the Pro 14 win away to the Ospreys.

Henderson was originally handed a six-week suspension, but saw that halved due to his previous record.

The lock caught Dan Evans in the jaw with his shoulder at a ruck, while attempting to shove the Ospreys player with an arm to the chest.

Despite the minor impact on Evans, referee Mike Adamson brandished the red card.

A disciplinary hearing was handled by Italian official, Andrea Caraci and it was accepted that Henderson's actions warranted a red card for foul play.

The incident was deemed a mid-range offence, which carries a six-week suspension.

Henderson’s clean disciplinary record, co-operation throughout the process and remorse shown warranted mitigation of 50 per cent, bringing his ban back down to three weeks.

He's free to resume playing from midnight on 9 November 2020, meaning Henderson will be available again in time for the first Autumn Nations Cup game with Wales.
