New Biarritz head coach Eddie O’Sullivan spoke with Off the Ball on Saturday afternoon, and told us how his move to the French side came about.
There had been rumours of a move to Munster, possibly as backs coach, but O’Sulivan said that, although there had been contact with Munster, there was no offer from the Irish province and he decided to go with Biarritz as the French side “had an offer on the table.”
“There was no offer...but I had been talking to Munster and I would have liked to see how that panned out...but Munster are still going through that process,” O’Sullivan said.
The former Ireland head coach discussed whether he will he delve into Irish market or use the Biarritz academy as the main source to build his squad.
