Dylan Hartley named England captain for Six Nations

Dylan Hartley will continue as England captain for the Six Nations after Eddie Jones confirmed the news at the launch of the tournament on Wednesday.

Hartley's poor disciplinary record has not cost him a role as the leader on the field for Jones, despite being hit with another ban for a tackle on Leinster's Sean O'Brien in the Champions Cup.

The incident occurred in December, after which Hartley was handed a six-week suspension, bringing his career total to 60 weeks of bans.

Jones turned up to the Six Nations launch sporting a heavy black eye, and was understandably asked a few questions about what had happened.

However, he was playing his cards close to his chest, telling Sky Sports: "I slipped over, got hit, nothing too drastic."

When asked who it was who had made contact with him, he said, "I don't know, I'll have to look at the video later. It was just a normal sort of thing.

His team start their Grand Slam defence against France a week on Saturday.
