Dave Kilcoyne a doubt for otherwise full-strength Munster ahead of PRO14 final

Dave Kilcoyne is the only new injury worry for Munster to deal with heading into Saturday's PRO 14 final against Leinster.

Kilcoyne is following the return to play protocols for the head injury he sustained in Ireland's win against England at the weekend.

Tadhg Beirne, Craig Casey, Keith Earls, Chris Farrell, Dave Kilcoyne, Conor Murray, Peter O’Mahony and CJ Stander have all reported back to the province injury-free, as Johann van Graan's side look to end their 10-year wait for silverware in this Saturday's decider against Leinster at the RDS.

Van Graan is also set to have hooker Kevin O'Byrne available again, the Corkman is back in full training after missing the recent defeat of Benetton with a chest injury.

Scrumhalf Paddy Patterson - who is on loan from Leinster - has undergone an MRI scan for an ankle injury picked up in the win against the Italian side, and he will see a specialist this week regarding further management of the issue.

Second-row Fineen Wycherley will once again miss out though as he rehabs a neck injury sustained in the win against the Scarlets a fortnight ago.

Leinster are going for a fourth consecutive domestic title, but they will be without James Ryan, Garry Ringrose and Will Connors for the decider against their provincial rivals.

Ryan is still following the return to play protocols having suffered a head injury in Ireland’s Six Nations defeat of Scotland, which was his second of the campaign.

Connors is facing up to eight-weeks out with a knee injury, ruling him out of both the Pro14 final, and Leinster’s Heineken Champions Cup last 16 tie with Toulon next week.

Ringrose will be out for “a number of weeks” with an ankle injury, which caused him to sit out Ireland's win against England on Saturday.
