Subjectivist has won the Gold Cup at Ascot to deny Stradivarius a fourth consecutive title.
He was guided home by Joe Fanning after going off at a starting price of 13/2.
The Mark Johnston trained four-year-old came home ahead of at 28/1 shot Princess Zoe and Spanish Mission, who went off at 7/1 in third.
The favourite, Stradivarius, who was going for a fourth consecutive title could only manage fourth.

Fanning was full of praise for Subjectivist after the win.
"He's been a great horse this year, even last year. He just keeps improving, he's very good.
"I always thought it would take a very good one to get by him.
"In Dubai on that good ground, he was always doing his best work near the end. I never thought that was an issue, he'd go on any ground.
