Mullins and Townend's remarkable partnership continues at Leopardstown

Willie Mullins has continued his Christmas success at Leopardstown.

After an opening St. Stephen's Day double on Saturday, the Carlow-based trainer went one further on Sunday, and what a day it was for him and jockey Paul Townend.

Townend guided Mullins' Chacun Pour Soi to victory, ahead of Henry De Bromhead's Notebook and Put The Kettle On in the Grade One Paddy's Rewards Club Chase to get the afternoon going for the pair.

Then a stablemate of Chacun Pour Soi's, Appreciate It, took the Grade One Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle ahead of Irascible and Keskonrisk.

In the big race of the day, the Paddy Power Chase, the dream duo struck again.

Townend rode Castlebawn West to victory there - again pipping a De Bromhead horse with Minella Times second and the Gordon Elliott trained Farclas third.

The Gigginstown House Stud owned, Roaring Bull who was defending his title ran a disappointing race and finished 10th.

Elsewhere, Rachael Blackmore got her first win of the week - she rode the Henry De Bromhead trained January Jets to victory in the Paddy Power Games "Don't Think You're Special" Beginners Chase.
