Amateur jockey Lorna Brooke has passed away following a fall during a race at Taunton earlier this month.
The Injured Jockeys Fund announced that Brooke, daughter of trainer Susan Brooke, succumbed to injuries sustained when falling at the third fence of Pontispool Equine Sports Centre Handicap Chase on 8th April.
Brooke complications from a believed spinal injury, Brooke was placed into an induced coma at the end of last week.

"It is with deep sadness that we have to share the tragic news that Lorna Brooke passed away yesterday," the Injured Jockeys Fund statement read.
"Her family thank everyone for their kindness in the last few weeks, particularly the staff at Southmead Hospital who were so professional.
"They will be having a private funeral and will hold a celebration of Lorna's life once Covid restrictions allow."
Brooke rode 17 winners in both Britain and Ireland over her career.
Fairyhouse Racecourse tweeted a tribute this afternoon, after her win at the course in 2015.
