Meath trainer Gavin Cromwell has followed up yesterday's win in the Paddy Power Stayers' Hurdle, by saddling Vanillier to victory in the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle.
And just as yesterday's hero Flooring Porter did, it was a wire-to-wire victory for the grey, staying on up the hill for Mark Walsh, winning at 14/1 from Oscar Elite and Streets of Doyen.
7/2 favourite Stattler had to settle for fourth place for Willie Mullins and Paul Townend.
Vanillier was ridden out from the front under Mark Walsh, who was filling in on the saddle for the luckless Jonathan Moore, who also missed out on yesterday's Flooring Porter victory.
Joining Vanillier out in front was the Willie Mullins outsider N'Golo, as well as 9/1 shot Adrimel, while the fancied Stattler and Fakiera settled a few lengths back.
Stattler did begin to make his move two hurdles out, with Jonjo O'Neill's Oscar Elite following closely by.
But Mark Walsh decided to go for it early, and improved to a three length lead approaching the last, before coasting over the hurdle and pulling further clear as he approached the line.
