Chacun Pour Soi will not run in the Champion Chase this afternoon due to an abscess.
The Champion Chase between Defi Du Seil, Altior and Chacun Pour Soi had been tipped as one of the races of the festival but will now go to post without the latter two.

Willie Mullins's horse had been the second favourite on the market just behind Defi Du Seil but follows the same fate as Altior, who was withdrawn from the running with a splint earlier in the week.
Blank
The absence of Chacun Pour Soi adds to trainer Willie Mullins' woes after a blank opening day. Mullins has never won the Champion Chase, with some high profile disappointments in the past including Douvan picking up an injury when suffering defeat in the race when odds-on three years ago.
Mullins will be hoping for an upturn in form with two favourites beaten on the opening day. Asterion Forlonge was disappointing in the Supreme Novices Hurdle despite significant market support, Shiskin took the race in the owner's' other colours.
While Benie des Dieux was unable to deal with the "unfinished business" the trainer said she had at the festival. Honeysuckle under an outstanding ride from Rachael Blackmore got the better of Mullins' mare in a thrilling battle up the straight.
Carefully Selected the compounded the Mullins misery when he ran far too keen and couldn't see out the trip in the final race of the day under Patrick Mullins.
