Blackmore's great week continues as Allaho wins the Ryanair Chase

Rachael Blackmore has picked up her fourth Grade 1 win of the week at Cheltenham after Allaho's breathtaking wire-to-wire victory in the Ryanair Chase.

The 3/1 favourite led from start to finish, and looked an easy winner from two fences out, ahead of Fakir D'oudairies in second and Tornado Flyer in third.

Having been second favourite to stablemate Min all day, some late interest saw Allaho backed into a 3/1f by the off, and the top two in the betting set a fierce gallop, pulling six lengths clear of the field within the first few fences.

Two-time festival winner Samcro had shortened dramatically in odds this morning, but never travelled and was eventually pulled up seven fences out, while Melon never looked like contending for a first Cheltenham win, likewise failing to finish.

With two fences to go, the pace got to Min, and last year's Ryanair Chase winner fell way back, leaving Allaho with just the final two jumps to navigate, which he easily cleared before coasting across the line 12 lengths clear of second.

Fakir D'oudairies was a valiant runner up at 11/2 for Mark Walsh and Joseph O'Brien, while the Willie and Danny Mullins team claimed third with 25/1 shot Tornado Flyer.
