"We all know how good she is" | De Bromhead hails incredible Blackmore

Trainer Henry de Bromhead paid tribute to the incredible Rachael Blackmore rode her sixth winner of the week.

Quilixios took the Triumph Hurdle for de Bromhead, a winning ride that all but secured the top jockey crown for Blackmore.

In the history of the Cheltenham Festival only Ruby Walsh, along with Blackmore have ridden six or more winners at a single meeting.

Blackmore brought up the half dozen with another confident ride on Quilixios who was only recently transferred from the Gordon Elliott yard after his controversy.

The trainer explained some of the reasons why the partnership works so well.

"We all know how good she is, we have always said how lucky we feel to have her on our team. She is riding out of her skin," de Bromhead said.

"It was Eddie O'Leary who said it to me a couple of years ago. We tried her out on a couple of Gigginstown horses and within two or three months she was riding all of ours. She was just so good.

"She's a great person, she works very hard. She is a great person to work with and a great rider."

Blackmore has been imperious this week at Cheltenham and has cemented her place at the top of the jockeys' pecking order.

Henry de Bromhead later made history by becoming the first trainer in history to win the Gold Cup, Champion Hurdle and Champion Chase in a single week.

It was a one-two for De Bromhead in the big race when Minella Indo took the race from stablemate A Plus Tard under Rachael Blackmore.
