Jerry Schemmel will remember July 19th, 1989 for the rest of his life. It was on that day that he was onboard United Airlines Flight 232, which crash-landed in Iowa after an engine explosion.
The crash killed 112 people, with Jerry among the 184 that survived.
Jerry is a sports broadcaster who has been a play-by-play announcer for the Denver Nuggets in the NBA, and Colorado Rockies in Major League Baseball.
He joined Shane Hannon for an exclusive OTB Sports interview as he remembered the crash, saving a child from the rubble, and dealing with survivors' guilt.
