Sam Szmodics has received a first call-up to the Republic of Ireland squad.
The attacking midfielder scored 15 times for Peterborough United this season, helping them gain automatic promotion to the Championship.
Szmodics qualifies for Ireland through his Co. Longford-born grandmother. He joins Stephen Kenny's squad for next month's friendlies with Andorra and Hungary.
"I am over the moon to receive my first international call-up for a nation that is close to mine and my family's hearts," Szmodics told Peterborough's website.
"I am looking forward to the 12 days ahead and experiencing international football."
The 25-year old's call-up is born of necessity, with Callum Robinson (achilles) & Aaron Connolly (foot) both withdrawing through injury.
Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers has also been drafted into Kenny's squad after West Ham's Darren Randolph was ruled out with a hip injury.
Seamus Coleman has been cleared to travel to Spain, having picked up an injury late in the season with Everton.
Swansea City duo Ryan Manning and Conor Hourihane will link up with the squad on Monday following their involvement in Saturday's Championship playoff final with Brentford.
Danny Mandroiu will be involved in Shamrock Rovers' SSE Airtricity Premier Division meeting with Longford Town before jetting off to Spain for his first senior Ireland involvement.
