Munster captain Peter O’Mahony is free to play following a judicial review after he received two yellow cards against the Scarlets last week.

It was the first red card the Ireland international has been shown during his career but O'Mahony is free to play following a judicial review.

The 31-year-old was shown two separate yellow cards by referee Sam Grove-White, both under Law 9.11, which states players must not do anything that is reckless or dangerous to others.

The Munster captain was sent off after receiving his second yellow card.

A statement from Munster confirmed the ruling: "The Judicial Officer, Sheriff Kathrine Mackie, Scotland, found after referring to the methodology in the Disciplinary Rules and the application of mitigating and aggravating features, that the sending off was sufficient."

O'Mahony was included in Andy Farrell's 35-man Ireland squad for the final two Six Nations games against Italy and France later this month.
