The post-lockdown sporting bucket list | What's first on your agenda?

So, we can all start dreaming of attending live sporting events again, and on this morning's OTB AM we discussed what is now top of our bucket list.

The Taoiseach announced yesterday that adult team sports training can resume from 10 May while matches will return from 7 June.

No spectators will be allowed until later in the year, but the latest easing of restrictions paves the way for the beginning of that conversation.

We've all got particular sporting events in our head that we'll be aiming to tick off the bucket list when we're allowed, and Adrian, Eoin, Hector, and Alan Quinlan all decided their go-to live events on this morning's show.

Hector Ó'hEochagáin:

"Monday night at the Galway Races in high summer - packed with locals and a couple of winners!"

Alan Quinlan:

"That's a good question. The All-Ireland final, and hopefully Tipperary will be in it and I'll be there watching it! The hurling final now, the hurling final."

Adrian Barry:

"It looks like Messi's going to sign up for Barcelona again for another year at the end of his contract - getting to see him is something I'd like to do.

"The obvious things like wanting to go see a Westmeath game, wanting to go see a Leinster game, but what's moved in, sidled in, shimmied in over the last few weeks is the Monaco Grand Prix.

"I just have to get to it. I've been looking at Drive to Survive over the last couple of months and the race, the craic, the crowd, the jeopardy of it. I just need to get to the Monaco Grand Prix.

"In my mind going to Monaco I'm going to be sat on a yacht... In reality if I was to somehow manage to thumb my way to Monaco, getting some sort of vantage point where I didn't have to pay for a ticket is probably what's more likely. I just desperately have to get there."

Eoin Sheahan:

"I just want to go to a championship match, a knockout championship match. That's all I want - I don't care who it is.

"Our television consumption has involved a lot of things that don't involve jeopardy. We've watched so much Premier League football where say Liverpool can get beaten 7-2 by Aston Villa and redeem themselves the following week.

"I want something where no redemption is possible, where defeat means defeat, victory means victory.

"A quarter-final, semi-final or final in either code would absolutely suit me down to the ground. We might get it this year if things go extremely well, chances are we won't.

"Ideally, it would be phenonenal to see Kerry versus Cork in Fitzgerald Stadium, in a proper knockout. This is the one year where it would actually be knockout, and for that to be in front of a packed crowd would be incredible.

"It might happen for a few hundred people. That for me has to be the first thing that comes to my mind."
