Spain's Paula Badosa has announced that she's tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of next month's Australian Open.
The 23-year old is the first player to reveal they're an active case after over 1,000 people entered Melbourne in recent days ahead of the first tennis Grand Slam of the year.
"I have some bad news," Badosa said on twitter. "Today I received a positive Covid-19 test result. I'm feeling unwell and have some symptoms, but I'll try to recover as soon as possible listening to the doctors.
"I've been taken to a health hotel to self isolate and be monitored. Thanks for your support. We'll be back stronger."

Arrivals ahead of the tournament are in a 14 day hotel quarantine - and those who were on flights which subsequently produced positive tests are confined to their rooms.
Meanwhile leading umpire Carlos Berndades is recovering in hospital after suffering a heart attack while in quarantine yesterday.
"Following admittance to hospital (non-Covid related) on Wednesday in Melbourne, we are pleased to report that ATP Umpire Carlos Bernardes is recovering well," the ATP announced.
Carlos passes on his gratitude for all the well wishes he's received, and we wish him all the best for a full recovery."
