"I'm Going To Knock Him Out In The Fourth Round"- Michael Conlan

Michael Conlan is in confident mood, ahead of his upcoming fight next week with Luis Molina at Madison Square Garden.

The bout will be his fifth as a pro, with the former Olympic silver medallist picking up a perfect 4-0 pro record so far- all of which came by way of knock out.

Conlan joined us on Now That’s What I Call Sport today.

The 26-year old spoke of his excitement at returning to Madison Square Garden, having made his pro debut there on St Patrick’s Day earlier this year.

“It felt like a dream the last time I was there and I feel like I've just woken up from it!

“Madison Square Garden will be my home for the next number of years, so I'm looking forward to going in there and putting on a show”.

He also feels he has come on leaps and bounds since that day.

“I've enjoyed it so far. It’s been a hell of a year. I’m learning every time I get into the ring, every time I spar. I’ve learned a lot and improved as a fighter since my pro debut”

The Belfast man has also gone as far as calling not only the round he feels he will knockout Molina, but the exact combination that will do the job.

“I know it’s gonna be in the 4th round and it’s either gonna be a right upper-cut left hook or a left upper-cut right hook.”

Conlan also hinted what may be his ring-walk song next Saturday. Have a listen below:

Also joining us on the show this week were former Shamrock Rovers man James Chambers on his time in America and his battle with depression.
