Marie Crowe and Dan McDonnell joined Joe Molloy for The Sunday Paper Review on Off the Ball this week.
The Irish Rugby Football Union came under fire during the week after they advertised a part-time/casual role to head the women's game here.
Asked whether she expected more coverage of the fall-out from this decision, Marie Crowe said: "It seemed like the perfect story to analyse today...there really isn't anything at all.
"There is a little bit at the end of Mark Gallagher's piece about Hope Solo but The Times, The Sindo - there's nothing. There's no analysis of it, there's no reporting of it and it's a story, because it's not finished yet, it's running and running - it's the perfect time (to cover it)," she added.
The IRFU faced a backlash during the week and attempted to clarify their vision for the women's game in Ireland. However, Crowe wasn't satisfied with the comments, telling Joe Molloy: "We don't know when they're meeting again - if they're going to meet again. And the thing about it as well - the girls are willing to talk.
"I mean, they're out there, they're tweeting, they're going on podcasts, they're replying to people on different social media platforms - they were there ready to talk and we have nothing.
"It's just real disappointing because we've pages and pages of match reports...the matches were yesterday so you have reports so I mean there is space and there should be space to maybe make a report a little bit smaller or a picture a little bit smaller to put in a bit of analysis about what's been going on this week because it's a big story.
"And, I think we did cover the Women's Rugby World Cup...people did follow it and it didn't go well and there was fall-out so there's plenty of different talking points to put together a really good piece and just analyse it."
