Lewis Hamilton created a piece of Formula One history on Sunday after his triumph in the Turkish Grand Prix saw him equal Michael Schumacher's record of seven world titles.
Having succeeded in matching the German's success, 35-year-old Hamilton is now well-placed to go one better and set a new record in the years ahead.
His feat at the Turkish Grand Prix - his 94th win - is all the more impressive as he had to come from sixth on the grid to take the chequered flag.
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the race, the Englishman elaborated on the challenging circuit at Istanbul Park.
"There isn't any grip at all," he said.
"I don't really know what to say. We did the best we could and that was the fastest we could go. The track feels terrible, it feels like driving on ice.
"For whatever reason, some people can get the tyres going but ultimately, we're all struggling out there.
"I did the best I could and I didn't really make any mistakes, so I'm generally happy. I did everything I could with what I had."
Whatever changes Hamilton and his Mercedes team opted to implement for Sunday's race certainly paid off.
He drove well and eventually hit the front when he overtook Sergio Perez, after Lance Stroll, Max Verstappen and Alexander Albon also held the lead at various stages.
Hamilton eventually crossed the line to take the title and the accolade of equalling Schumacher's record.

An emotional Hamilton could be heard saying over his team radio.
"That is for all kids out there who dream the impossible. You can do it too man.
"Thank you so much for your support."
In the overall driver's championship, Sergio Perez finished second with Sebastien Vettel in third.
Mercedes also took the constructors' title comfortably from Red Bull in second.
