Katie Taylor retained her undisputed lightweight title with a unanimous decision victory over Firuza Sharipova in Liverpool.
Taylor was awarded the decision on all three of the judge's scorecards after ten rounds of action. The judges scored the fight 98-92, 97-92 and 96-93 all in Taylor's favour. It was her 20th win as a professional.
Sharipova, who was docked a point during the contest, proved to be a game opponent for the Bray native, however, it was a routine victory in the end for the undefeated Taylor. The Irish fighter landed the cleaner shots throughout the fight, opening up a cut on Sharipova at one point.
With the win confirming her status as one of the greatest boxers of her generation, there is plenty of renewed hope that this leads to a clash with Amanda Serrano.
Indeed Taylor herself hinted that this could be next when interviewed on DAZN after the conclusion of the fight.

"This is what it is all about," Taylor said of a future fight with Serrano.
"This is why I am involved in professional boxing, to be involved in the biggest fights possible. Like Eddie [Hearn} said this is probably the biggest fight in female boxing right now.
"It is going to be the biggest fight ever in female boxing so this is an absolute historic fight and it will be great to be a part of such a big night."
Hearn hopes to stage the fight at Madison Square Garden in March or April.
"That would be fantastic. Madison Square Garden, the Mecca of boxing," Taylor continued.
"I had the privilege of fighting there twice already as a professional so to be involved in the biggest female fight possible in Madison Square Garden, the most iconic stadium is more than a dream.
