Jason Quigley will be in action against Oscar Cortes on Thursday, in California.
The Andy Lee trained boxer stopped Abraham Cordero in his last fight in December, he spoke to the Off The Brawl Podcast after that win.
The Donegal middleweight who is promoted by Oscar de La Hoya will fight as part of the Thursday Night Boxing series, in a 10 round bout.
Quigley will be back on familiar turf having won at the venue in December. His professional record now reads 17 wins and one defeat with 13 knockouts. Cortes meanwhile has lost three of his last four fights.
Momentum
'El Animal' as he has been dubbed since fighting Michael Faulk, told Chris McNulty he wants to "build momentum." Especially having lost his NABF title to Taureano Johnson last July.
"I fought at the start of December, got a good win and now I'm straight back in. That's exactly what I want and exactly what I need.
"It's all about momentum now. I need to get in again, keep it fresh and get out of there ASAP to keep the ball rolling."
The middleweight told Donegal Spot Hub: "It's an exciting time. What's important now in 2020 is driving on and achieving what I want to achieve.
"My aim and my goal is to become the world champion. I've seen it in training and I've felt it myself, there is a change there and click of things back in place again. I'm excited for what's to come."
His promoter is on record saying Quigley can be a World Champion, his retrieval mission continues next Thursday.
