Kieran Shannon and Gavin Cummiskey took part in Off the Ball's Sunday Paper Review to look back at the week's big talking points.
Galway's win in the All-Ireland hurling final last weekend to end a 29 year drought for the Tribesmen came up for discussion.
"Michale Donoghue knew what he had to deal with and the mental problems that Galway had to surmount or get over," said Cummiskey, adding: "And Kieran, you've dealt with the panel so you can give us some real insight here but Dennis Walsh's piece is the best piece, as you've said it's really well worth reading.
"And the way the solution, and we're dumbing it all down, but the way the solution for Galway to get where they were going is and I think this is so the key for any sporting team is that you have to take owner ship of your own destiny.

"So, as I was talking to Kieran outside - the management have to let you do that but at the same time they have to make sure that you're coached to the level that you want to be coached to and directed on that level.
"It's the balancing act that is success essentially and Galway have struck the chords this year."
"Yeah exactly," said Shannon, "when Michael went in there, there was change involved between the style in play in particular and it took players a while to - it was almost like Mr. Miyagi in the Karate kid - it took them a while to (adapt).
"There would have been a style of play and, I suppose they talk about you might be unaware of how you are incompetent - then you become aware of how incompetent you are."
