Gary O'Toole and Brendan O'Brien joined Off the Ball for the Sunday Paper Review to look back at the week's main talking points.
O'Toole stressed the importance of having discussions around abuse in sport, telling Joe Molloy: "It's a very difficult topic to address because it comes with a degree of shame and embarrassment and also it's cringy - we all know what we're talking about but don't want to mention the actual acts themselves and what went on.
"They're quite graphic in The Sunday Times this morning when you read through the piece and what Tom has perpetrated on that young girl - It's uncomfortable to talk about that.
"So, we deal with the whole issue in terms of, we speak around the topic. We tend to cloud the sharp, upsetting images. We tend to pixilate them, for want of a better word, so that it doesn't hurt us too much to think about what has gone on and that's human nature.
"And that's why this discussion on a Sunday afternoon, when we should be talking about beautiful sport and the joys of sport, is important that people just sit down and every so often, sit down and remind themselves that everyone is vulnerable and (to) take care," he added.
