'It could end like Reservoir Dogs' | Sean Ingle on Team Sky medical tribunal

Guardian journalist Sean Ingle joined Off The Ball on Monday night to talk about the latest from the medical practitioner's tribunal of former Team Sky doctor, Richard Freeman.

After a parliamentary inquiry and a UK Anti-Doping enquiry already concluded on the goings-on at Team Sky, many of the organisation's former key figures are again having accusations levelled at them in a tribunal established to question Freeman's fitness to practice medicine.

Currently covering the tribunal as the Guardian's Chief Sports Writer, Ingle explained that it is not clear how the process will end but warned it has the potential to get ugly for all involved.

"This could go all sorts of ways. There all sorts of people with things that I wonder could come out.

"It could end up a bit like the scene in Reservoir Dogs where they all end up bloodied on the floor, every one of them shot and reputations damaged"

"Or it could end up that the case is kicked down the road again. It is very unclear what is going to happen."

One thing that Ingle does believe will definitely happen is that former Head Coach at British Cycling and Team Sky, Shane Sutton, will come under heavy scrutiny when he does appear before the tribunal.

"Richard freeman's lawyer, Mary O'Rourke, who is very impressive, very formidable, she already claims that Sutton gave some evidence to parliament that was cmpletely inconsistent with other stuff he had said in a sworn affidavit given to the Daily Mail.

"She suggested she wanted to get into Shane Sutton's alleged bullying. She said also, that Sutton's affidavit to the Daily Mail contains a number of lies.

"So she is gunning for him and it is going to be very interesting to see what happens."
