Katie Taylor looks set to make the second defence of her WBA lightweight title on home soil this Spring.
The opponent for Taylor's long-awaited homecoming is yet to be confirmed but her promoter Eddie Hearn revealed the date this afternoon.
"April the 14th, we're in Dublin. [We're] just finalising that, it looks like the return of Katie Taylor," Hearn told iFL TV this afternoon.
The Bray woman hasn't fought in Ireland since moving to the professional ranks. She is undefeated in eight bouts since her pro debut in November 2016.
It's been a whirlwind 14 months for the 31-year-old culminating in her world title win at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, a unanimous victory over Argentine pugilist Anahi Esther Sanchez last October.
She made her first successful defence six weeks later in another unanimous win, this time against American Jessica McCaskill from the United States.
Seven of Taylor's eight fights have been staged in the UK and one Stateside while she hasn't boxed in Ireland since her 2015 Irish Elite lightweight title win against Shauna O'Keefe at the National Stadium.
