Anthony Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn expects him to fight Kubrat Pulev or Oleksandr Usyk next.
Joshua regained his WBO, WBA 'super' and IBF titles last night against Andy Ruiz Jr in Saudia Arabia.
Matchroom promotion's Hearn says it's too early to say what's next for his fighter but ruled out an immediate third fight between Joshua and Ruiz because of mandatory obligation the champion is expected to fulfil.
"His first mandatory was Kubrat Pulev where he pulled out. Then he faced Carlos Takam with just a week's notice, nobody wanted to fight Alexander Povetkin and he took care of that mandatory as well.
Kubrat Pulev is the IBF mandatory, Oleksandr Usyk is the WBO mandatory and I see him wanting to take both those fights, as well. We'll have to speak to the governing bodies and see who goes first."
The 2012 Olympic gold medalist earned his second world championship after a superlative display to earn a unanimous decision victory over the former champion.
He paid credit to the Los Angeles based fighter, his family and friends after the Mexican/American's reign came to an end, and is now looking ahead to mandatory challengers.
World's heavyweight champions spoke with Sky Sports after moving his record to 23-1.
"And look, this is about boxing but last time I realised -hang on a minute- I hurt the man, and I got caught coming in. Give this man his credit,' shouted Joshua.
Joshua says the rematch was about putting on a technical masterclass for the fans, and showing the world the fundamental defensive science behind the sport of boxing.
"I said to myself that I'm going to correct myself and come again. I respect Andy, his family and his trainers so much. I just wanted to put on a great boxing master class, and also show the sweet science of this lovely sport. It's about hitting and not getting hit.' he explained.
Joshua says he has never adjusted his mentality but believes he reclaimed the titles due to his pre-fight preparation. He claimed he will always remain humble, win or lose.
"Never a change in mentality - Stay hungry; stay humble.
"I'm hungry, I'm' humble in defeat, and I'm going to remain humble in victory."
