POLL: Do you "suspend belief" when watching elite athletics?

Later this week, elite track and field athletes return en masse to London for the first time since the 2012 Olympics.

But a piece in today's Irish Mail on Sunday looks to shed light on the London 2012 Games in a piece entitled '2012: The Dirtiest Games Ever?'

Among the headlines conclusions made in the article include points like a third of all finalists at those Games being connected to doping, one in seven finalists either doping before or since London 2012 and picks out some of the "worst offenders" including Russia, Jamaica, Turkey and Belarus.

On today's Sunday Paper Review on Off The Ball, Joe Molloy was joined by journalist and former Ireland Olympic swimmer Gary O'Toole and The Daily Edge journalist Amy O'Connor and while discussing the piece, they also touched on how believable what we see on track is or isn't.

On that overall standpoint, O'Connor made the point, "I kind of suspend belief, maybe until proven otherwise because I really do love watching [athletics]. But when you read things like this, it does tarnish it."

You can watch that full discussion right here:

We'd also like to get your opinion and you can let us know in our poll below:
