WATCH: Emotional Klopp and Henderson react to title victory

Jurgen Klopp says the feeling of winning the Premier League as Liverpool manager is more than he could have imagined.Β

Chelsea's 2-1 win at home to ten-man Manchester City means that Liverpool are at last mathematically out of reach with seven games still to play.

"Becoming champions with this club is absolutely incredible," an emotional Klopp told Sky Sports.

He was joined on a Zoom call by Anfield legends Kenny Dalglish, Phil Thompson and Graeme Souness.

"Knowing how much Kenny supported us - it's for you as well Kenny - we had to wait another 30 years for your club to win it.

"It's for Stevie [Gerrard] who had to wait a long time. and not it's for all because it's built on your soul, Kenny, of Stevie.

"The boys admire you and it's easy for me to motivate the team because of our great history."

"It's amazing to finally get over the line," captain Jordan Henderson said.

The 30-year old has gone from potential make-weight in a deal to sign Clint Dempsey to a Liverpool captain who's lifted Champions League, Club World Cup and now Premier League trophies.

Henderson began to tear-up when asked by Jamie Redknapp to sum-up his feelings.

"I didn't wait 30 years, I'm here since 4 and a half years but we didn't have a chance really before last year," Klopp added.

"It's anyway a relief because of the three months interruption. Nobody knew how it would go on and then you don't know 100 per cent how you will come back.

Klopp said Wednesday night's 4-0 win over Crystal Palace gave him firm belief that there would be no wobble.

"It's not just a blip, it's not just a one-off", according to Kenny Dalglish.

The Scot was the last man to mastermind a Liverpool title victory in 1990.

"He's a credit to himself, and a great help to everybody," said Dalglish of the man who's now ended that 30-year wait.
