Sport on TV this weekend | Here's how to watch the best bits

There's a big sporting weekend on the way, so we decided we would give you a quick-fire guide on how to not miss the main sport on TV.

Between the final day of action in the Premier League on Sunday, golf's US PGA Championship, the GAA and the Champions Cup final, there's plenty to keep us busy up until Sunday night!

FRIDAY

Pádraig Harrington is best of the Irish after the opening round of the US PGA Championship at Kiawah Island. The three-time major champion heads into day two today on one-under after shooting a 71 yesterday.

Canada's Corey Conners leads the field after a five-under 67, with Rory McIlroy three-over and Shane Lowry one-over. Watch the US PGA Championship live on Sky Sports Golf from 1pm.

There's SSE Airtricity League of Ireland action on the WATCHLOI streaming service later - St Patrick's Athletic v Bohemians and Derry City's trip to Waterford at 5.45pm, and then at 7.45pm you can follow Dundalk v Shamrock Rovers, Finn Harps v Drogheda United and Sligo Rovers v Longford Town.

Rugby heads turn to the European Challenge Cup final on BT Sport 1 at 8pm tonight when Leicester take on Montpellier, and Cork and Tipperary meet in the Ladies National Football League on TG4 at 7.30pm.

SATURDAY

The battle for promotion to the Premier League heats up tomorrow afternoon - Brentford play Bournemouth in the Championship play-off semi-final second leg on Sky Sports Football from 12.30pm, with Swansea City playing Barnsley in the other tie at 6.30pm.

Ronan O'Gara and La Rochelle have Toulouse ahead of them in the Champions Cup final, live on Virgin Media Two and BT Sport 2 (4.45pm).

It's a big weekend of action in both codes of the GAA - the big ones on the box on Saturday are Tipperary v Galway in the top-tier of the National Hurling League (TG4, 1.30pm), Donegal welcoming Monaghan to Ballybofey in Division One North of the football (RTÉ 2/eir Sport, 5pm) and before that Westmeath against Mayo in Division Two (eir Sport, 3pm).

Later in the evening then sees Armagh take on Tyrone in Division One North of the football (eir Sport, 7pm) and Galway and Mayo meet in the Ladies Football League (TG4, 7.30pm).

As if that wasn't enough for Saturday, among the pick of the other action there's also Day Three of the US PGA (from 1pm, Sky Sports Golf), qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix in Formula One (Sky Sports Main Event, 1pm), and the final day in the La Liga season (Real Madrid v Villarreal, Premier Sports 1 and Real Valladolid v Atlético Madrid, Premier Sports 2 - both 5pm.)

SUNDAY

We're hoping for some Irish interest near the top of the leaderboard on the final day of the US PGA Championship on Sunday (Sky Sports Golf from 1pm, Sky Sports Main Event from 7.30pm).

GAA-wise there's plenty on offer to round out the weekend - Dublin v Kerry in Semple Stadium will be a must-watch (TG4 and live updates on Off The Ball with Paddy Andrews, 1.45pm).

In Division One of the hurling Kilkenny play Wexford (TG4 app, 2pm) and Limerick play Waterford (TG4, 3.45pm).

Formula One's showpiece race in Monaco will be live on Sky Sports Main Event from 1.55pm, while then there's the small matter of the final day of action in the Premier League, with all games underway at 4pm.

Liverpool v Crystal Palace at Anfield is the live commentary game on Off The Ball (Brian Kerr alongside Stephen Doyle, also watch live on Sky Sports Main Event.)

The battle for the top four and Champions League football next season is where it's at - follow Leicester City v Tottenham on Sky Sports Football and Aston Villa v Chelsea on Sky Sports Action.

If those don't tickle your fancy - there's always Arsenal v Brighton on Sky Sports Arena, Manchester City against Everton on Sky Sports Premier League, and Southampton's visit to West Ham on Sky One.
