Kevin Sheedy has strenuously denied he has resigned as manager of Waterford FC.
The Republic of Ireland legend was only appointed in December, along with his assistant Mike Newell.
However, things have not gone to plan both on and off the pitch for Sheedy thus far at the RSC.
Waterford sit second-from-bottom of the SSE Airtricity Premier Division table, having picked up a solitary win and five defeats from their first six matches.
Reports of training ground bust-ups between Sheedy and his players have been frequent, but also denied by the parties involved.
Sheedy refused to answer questions regarding goalkeeper Brian Murphy's surprise absence from a recent defeat to Bohemians amid rumours the pair had fallen out.
The experienced keeper attempted to clarify the matter on social media, saying, "Results have not gone our way recently which we are all disappointed by, I did discuss sone things with management leading up to Friday’s game, which will remain private.
“Anything outside of that is untrue. I am fit and available to play, I wasn’t selected. I was disappointed by that decision but we move on.
"Also, I have not left Waterford FC nor do I intend to leave our club."
Rumours of a separate fracas involving Oscar Brennan were also dismissed.
Meanwhile, Newell has regularly fallen foul of match officials during their brief tenure. The ex-Everton and Blackburn striker was sent to the stand in their first game of the season away to Drogheda United.

Newell has also been red-carded in two of their last three games, most recently for an argument over the colour of sock tape in Tuesday's 1-0 loss to St. Patrick's Athletic.

On Thursday morning, rumours circulated regarding a fresh training ground argument that supposedly tipped Sheedy over the edge to the point of quitting.
That has been strongly refuted by both Sheedy and the club in a brief statement on Thursday evening.
"Kevin Sheedy Manager of Waterford FC would like to refute the baseless rumour that he and Mike Newell have resigned from their positions with the Club," it read.
"They are both committed to the club and look forward to the visit of Longford Town FC on Saturday next."
