Kylian Mbappe says he has been impressed with Liverpool's form in the Premier League this season, saying Jurgen Klopp has turned them into a "ruthless" team.
Liverpool were 25 points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League before play was suspended due to coronavirus.
The PSG striker told the Mirror that Liverpool's success in recent seasons was down to hard work and a good manager.
"This season Liverpool have been a machine in the Premier League. They have made winning look easy - but the truth is that is never easy," Mbappe said.
"To be as ruthless as they have been would come from having a very good manager and lots of hard work in training. Performances like they have been having don't just happen."
The France international faced Liverpool in the group stage of Champions League last season before the Reds went on to lift their sixth European Cup.
The 21-year-old has been previously linked with a move to Liverpool and those rumours resurfaced when the club signed a lucrative kit manufacturing deal with Nike, suggesting the American company could help to fund the move.
Mbappe's contract runs out in the summer of 2022 and Real Madrid are the front runners to sign the World Cup winner.
When asked about role models in the game he said his two footballing idols are Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo.
"First was Zidane for everything he achieved with the national team and then it was Ronaldo.
"He has won so much and still continues to be a winner even after so much success.
"They have both left their mark in the history of the game and I want to leave my own chapter in the history books."
Mbappe finished fourth in the vote for the Ballon d'Or in 2018 but he says winning football's biggest individual honour is not one of his priorities.
"It would be nice to win but it is not something that keeps me awake at night.
"I don’t think I have to win it next season or the season after, there is no time limit I have put on it.
"Always I will put PSG and the national team as my priority, then if personal honours come from my performances then it is a bonus."
PSG continue to dominate domestically but they have come up short in the Champions League year after year.
The French champions booked their place in the quarter finals of this season's competition before football was put on hold.
Mbappe is hoping they can go all the way this season: "It is a big ambition of mine to win the European Cup and to be a part of PSG winning their first European Cup would be very special."
Mbappe experienced playing behind closed doors in the second leg of their last 16 tie against Borussia Dortmund in Paris.
He said players will have to get use to having no supporters for the time being.
"Fans are such an important part of the game and to play without them will be strange for the players.
These are unprecedented times though and the safety of everybody must take priority."
