Raiola on Pogba on potential Juventus return: "Turin remains in his heart"

Paul Pogba's agent says the door remains open for a return to Juventus.

The midfielder has entered the final year of his contract at Manchester United, having joined the Premier League club for a then world record fee of €105million in 2016.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed recently that talks were ongoing with Pogba - and his agent Mino Raiola - about an extension.

"Me and Paul work together every day here and we keep on trying to improve, improve the team and to enjoy ourselves," Solskjaer said last month.

The 28-year old has made a decent start to the season, providing seven assists in four Premier League games, with four of those coming in the opening day win over Leeds.

Speaking to Rai Sport on Friday, Raiola was determined to engineer a big contract from United by raising the prospect of a return to Turin.

"Pogba's contract expires next year," the agent said, "We will talk to Manchester and see.

"For sure Turin has remained in his heart and he cares a lot about these things. The possibility of returning to Juventus is there but it also depends on Juve."

The frequently out-spoken agent has also been defending his profession, saying, "Agents are not the evil of football as some say.

"If you buy a Rolls Royce and it doesn't go, the problem is not the driver.

"If club owners don't know how to manage clubs, the problem is not us agents. But even here I am ready to sit around a table and discuss."
