WATCH: Lloris and Son clash at half-time of Spurs game with Everton

Tottenham team-mates Hugo Lloris and Heung Min Son had to be separated by team-mates in their Premier League game with Everton.

The half-time whistle had just gone in their Premier League game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The hosts won the game by a goal to nil, after a Giovani Lo Celso strike on 24-minutes was deflected past Jordan Pickford in the Everton goal to give Spurs the lead.

However, it was the clash of Lloris and Son that caused much of the half-time conversation.

The pair began an exchange of words which rapidly became heated.

They then had to be kept apart by team-mates Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks as their manager Jose Mourinho calmly followed them into the dressing room.

Whatever was said at the break seemed to calm tempers between the Spurs team-mates.

Just as they emerged from the tunnel for the second half, Lloris and Son could be seen embracing and putting their little squabble behind them.

Speaking after the game, Lloris insisted that the matter had been settled.

"It just belonged to the changing room," the French goalkeeper told Sky Sports, "Outside you can say whatever you want."

"There is a lot of respect between all the players into the changing room.

"What happened between me and Sonny is just something that is part of football sometimes.

"But there is no problem at all. You can see at the end of the game we are more than happy to be part of the team and to have these three points."

Lloris confirmed it was a half-time chance for Richarlison that sparked his anger.

The net minder was unhappy with Son's defensive efforts, telling Sky, "I think to concede a chance a few seconds before half-time because we don't make the pressing properly - that annoyed me, but that's part of football."
