St. Patrick's Athletic have confirmed the loan signing of Malta international striker Kyrian Nwoko.
The 24-year old has joined the Saints on loan from Valletta until the end of the season.
Nwoko had also been linked with a move to Linfield in recent days, with Pat's staving off competition from the Belfast club.
During his time with both Valletta and St. Andrew's in the Maltese Premier League, Nwoko's scored 21 goals in 129 appearances. However, he's failed to find the net since September.
"We are really happy to sign Kyrian in on loan until the end of the year," said Pat's head coach Stephen O'Donnell.
"He has played 21 times for his country and scored goals, while he has also won a couple of league titles in Malta, he's a very good player who will add a lot to our group."
Manager Alan Mathews added, "Kyrian is a top player and we are delighted to have him at St Pat's for the rest of this season.
"We'd like to thank Kyrian's representatives who are based in America & also Valletta FC. We are looking forward to working with him & believe he will be a great addition to our squad."
Nwoko has already begun working with his new teammates ahead of Friday's top of the table clash with Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium.
"Like a typical centre-forward, I hold the ball up," he said when asked what Saints fans can expect from him, "But lately I've been developing my game to even make runs forward and be more versatile but mainly especially the way we play with the national team I'm a good hold-up player and I'm looking to put that in the game over here."
