"He told us to f**k off" | PSG make explosive claim against referee

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Ander Herrera made an explosive claim regarding Bjorn Kuipers after their Champions League exit.

PSG lost the second leg of their semi-final 2-0 to Manchester City, with Kuipers dismissing Angel Di Maria for a stamp on Fernandinho.

The win completed a 4-1 aggregate win for City to reach a first ever Champions League final in the club's history.

But Herrera says they were disrespected by match referee Kuipers during the game.

"We are told about respect, to respect referees," the ex-Manchester United midfielder told RMC Sport, "He said 'fuck off' to [Leandro] Paredes."

"If we said that [to him], we'd be banned for four matches."

It's a claim also made by Herrera's teammate Marco Veratti, who says Kuipers exclaimed "Fuck you" twice to the Italian.

But it's City, and not PSG, who booked their place in the final in Istanbul.

Mahrez opened the scoring at a chilly Etihad with just 11-minutes on the clock, firing home from close range after Ederson set up the attack with a long-ball to Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Kevin de Bruyne had a shot blocked by Alessandro Florenzi, with Mahrez finding the net.

Midway through the half, PSG collapsed.

Mauricio Pochettino's side had threatened in the first period with Marquinhos' header rebounding off the corssbar.

But Mahrez grabbed his second of the night, and third of the tie, after finding himself unmarked at the end of a whip smart City counter-attack.

Five minutes later, Kuipers showed a red card to Di Maria for his sideline stamp on Fernandinho.

City could have made it 3-0 through Phil Foden, but his shot came back off Keylor Navas' left-hand upright.

The Premier League champions-elect will play either Real Madrid or Chelsea at Istanbul's Ataturk Stadium on May 29.
