Fergus McFadden is one of thirteen players that have been punished by the RFU for breaches of coronavirus regulations.

The breaches - which included misleading the investigation - led to the cancelation of a test match with England at Twickenham on October 25.

The match would have served as McFadden's final outing in professional rugby, having retired from Leinster at the end of last season.

McFadden was joined by Alex Lewington, Juan Pablo Socino, Chris Robshaw, Richard Wigglesworth, Jackson Wray, Calum Clark, Sean Maitland, Tim Swinson, Tom de Glanville, Joel Kpoku, Manu Vunipola and Simon Kerrod in breaching team regulations.

Four days before the England game, a twelve of the named group left the team hotel and attended two pubs and a restaurant in London.

When asked where they had been the players said they left the hotel to eat out at McDonald’s and sat in Berkeley Square drinking takeaways.

McFadden was among a group including Lewington, Socino, Robshaw, Wigglesworth and Wray who ventured out on both October 20 and 21.

They've each been given five-week bans with three of them suspended. They've also been fined two-weeks' wages.

As McFadden is no longer playing and "in a period of transition into a new career ", he must instead serve 60-hours of unpaid rugby community service.

Clark, Maitland and Swinson have been given four-week suspensions, with the latter pair conducting 50 hours of rugby community service and Clark 60. They've also been fined a week-and-a-half's wages.

Joel Kpoku, Manu Vunipola and Tom de Glanville are all banned for three-weeks, fined a week's wages and must each serve 50-hours of unpaid rugby community work.

Kerrod collects a two-week ban and a fine of a week's wages.
