Leanne Kiernan scored a hattrick as two of her teammates from the island of Ireland also found the back of the net in Liverpool's 6-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers on Sunday.
Liverpool were dominant throughout as they took the mximum points in their FA Women's Championship encounter against Rovers.
Republic of Ireland's Niamh Fahey put the travelling Reds into the lead with her goal in the 29th minute.
It was a headed effort from Fahey off the end of a perfectly weighted corner kick that put the visitors in the lead.

They held onto their lead for the remainder of the half, with Liverpool going into half time just the one goal ahead. It was an entirely different story in the second half, however.
Kiernan scored the first of her three goals with just seven minutes played in the second half. Her second was a brilliant top-corner shot from the edge of the penalty area that was no match for the 'keeper.

Kiernan scored her third goal, just six minutes after finding the back of the net for her first. She received a beautiful cross from her Liverpool teammate Melissa Lawley, but still had a lot to do in order to find the back of the net.
She controlled the ball in the penalty area and beat Alexandra Brooks for the third time to take the game away from Blackburn with half an hour still to play.
It's three for @kiernan_leanne!

It would not be the end for Liverpool, however. Northern Ireland international Rachel Furness added to the Blackburn misery ten minutes later to take the lead out to five for Liverpool.

Furness nabbed her brace in injury time to take the visitors to a dominant 6-0 victory. A quick free kick and an opportunistic cross into the box seemed to be too much for Brooks to deal with and Liverpool earned their big win.
