Kieran Donaghy's Shot Clock: Five things we learned from Week 4

Welcome to Kieran Donaghy’s Shot Clock - a brand new weekly feature on OTB AM which sees the Kerry legend go head-to-head with an Off The Ball presenter.

These ultra competitive debates will see each side fight their corner on a range of hot topics from across the world of sport, with a two-minute timer ensuring they get to the point. There will be rapid-fire predictions and the mailbox too (email [email protected]) where our viewers get to challenge Donaghy with their thoughts. If your argument stands out we might even throw you on air!

In the meantime, here is what we learned from Episode 4 of the Shot Clock:

The jury is still out on the GAA's greatest ever team:

Although Kieran Donaghy is content to admit that the Dublin footballers possess the greatest panel of players ever seen, the Kerry All-Ireland winner isn't so sure they've claimed the mantle of greatest ever team just yet.

"They have the best squad of all time, but we're still going to hold the debate on best team," Donaghy surmised on the back of their ability to do without the likes of Diarmuid Connolly, Rory O'Carroll and Jack McCaffrey in recent years.

Dublin could do a lot worse than welcome Rory O'Carroll back into the panel:

Garvey's Tralee Warriors are going all out for their Super League clash with Templeogue:

"We're going to have smoke machines," Donaghy revealed on the Shot Clock.

"We're going to have lasers, we're going to have lights, a fan-zone, face-painting, we have as much fun as you could hope to have."

A table-topping clash that could prove crucial in deciding this year's men's national basketball champions, read all about the match-up here and where you can watch it.

Kieran Donaghy thinks LeBron James looks 'old and disinterested' at the LA Lakers:

Kieran is scandalised by Real Madrid's treatment of Gareth Bale:

As the Spanish giants continue to spiral downward, Kieran is left feeling pretty shallow about how the club are treating the Welsh winger.

"The treatment he's getting is scandalous," Donaghy stated, "what about booing [Sergio] Ramos? What's he going to get in the next game?"
