If things were progressing as they had been expected to for Kellie Harrington, she would now be only a few weeks removed from competing in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
As she was quick to clarify on Wednesday's Off The Ball, however, her place had not yet been guaranteed on the Irish team.
When sport was largely called to a halt in March, she had been in London with her teammates hoping to fight for what would have been a place on the plane to Japan. Nevertheless, not one to be overly perturbed by the unexpected, she is keeping herself focused on that challenge of qualifying whenever the fights materialise again.
In a wide-ranging discussion that focused on everything from growing up in Dublin's inner-city to how boxing may well have saved her life, the demands that Harrington's sport puts on her life was covered in great detail.
"I don't like making weight," she admitted on Wednesday's show, "and I love chocolate and biscuits."
The world-champion boxer was quick to dissuade the notion that to excel in the ring she must live to the most intense demands outside of it.
"When I come home from training or work," she explained, "I've the feet up with chocolate and biscuits. People are always saying, 'Oh, you must have a really clean diet.' No, it is a balanced diet and I eat the exact same as everybody else, but its balanced."
To assure viewers of the seriousness with which she indulged this passion, Kellie Harrington even broke down her purchasing habits on the show.
"So, I'm going to Dunnes this evening," she outlined. "I'll probably buy a large Cadbury's Fruit & Nut bar, a large Maltesers bar and a packet of biscuits. Once one of those bars gets opened, it is gone in the day. There is no stopping me until its gone.
"The next day then. 'No, no, I won't have that other bar now until the weekend ... Ah, I'll have one bit.' Boom, its gone again then."
